Since Home also manages the rent for your landlord, the final takeover of your apartment is officially complete once you have updated your payment method such that rent payments will be made to Home and not to your landlord.
Home will send you an email where you can securely set up a SEPA direct debit mandate, through our payment service provider Stripe, using a unique link private to you.
After completing the setup, you will receive a confirmation from Home that the transfer has been completed and the rent will be conveniently debited from your account starting the following 1st of the next month, when the next rent is due.
Currently, only rental payment by SEPA direct debit is available for tenants. However, alternative payment methods, e.g. for self-referrers, will also be offered by Home in the near future.
Please remember to cancel any standing orders or other direct debits for rent payments to the previous manager or owner in time to avoid any double debits.
