Home selects tenants based on objective criteria and does not discriminate.

We examine each applicant along multiple criteria:

• High interest: We only offer viewings to serious candidates that provide information upfront and verify their identity.
• Income: The applicants have sufficient income to be able to afford the rent on a permanent basis.
• Solvency: The usual documents such as a SCHUFA credit score and certificate of prior rent payment from their former landlord confirm the applicants' solvency.
• Long term suitability: The number of people matches the apartment size ans makes it likely that the tenants will want to stay for the long term.

Home is strict when selecting tenants because we will be in the same boat with you in case of non-payment. Should a tenant not be able to pay their rent, Home will compensate you with up to one monthly warm rent per rental contract. Therefore, our incentives are 100% aligned.
